Refund and Cancellation Policy

Overview
This starter policy describes PawPass subscription and one-time purchase handling. It should be reviewed by qualified counsel before launch and should match the settings used in Stripe.
Subscriptions
Access Ready monthly subscriptions may be canceled before the next renewal. Access continues through the current paid billing period unless PawPass states otherwise. Certified is billed yearly because certification records are reviewed on an annual cycle and includes Access Ready visibility and engagement tools during that paid certification year. Certified status, badges, and certification certificates expire after that year unless Certified is renewed.
Annual Plans
Annual subscriptions may be canceled to stop future renewal. Unless required by law or approved by PawPass, annual fees are not prorated or refunded after purchase.
Corrective Action Training
Corrective Action Training is a one-time purchase. Because training access may be delivered immediately, refunds are generally not available once training has been accessed, except where required by law or approved by PawPass.
Refund Requests
PawPass may review refund requests case by case. Approval may depend on duplicate charges, billing errors, fraud concerns, unused access, technical issues, or other circumstances.
Plan Downgrades and Cancellations
When a paid subscription ends, paid dashboard tools, badge eligibility, staff training access, certificates, multi-location allowances, or other paid features may be paused or removed depending on the plan. If a subscription is scheduled to cancel at period end, paid access may continue until the current paid period expires. Certified businesses may choose to renew Certified or step down to Access Ready after the current certification year; if they do not renew Certified, certification status expires at the end of that year.
Business Responsibility
Businesses are responsible for reviewing plan details before purchase, keeping billing information current, and canceling before renewal if they do not want the subscription to continue. PawPass cannot control delays or disputes handled by banks, card issuers, app stores, or payment processors.
Important Notes
- Payment processing is handled through Stripe.
- Canceled subscriptions may remain active through the end of the paid billing period.
- Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a Stripe subscription unless cancellation is separately completed.
- Chargebacks or payment disputes may lead to suspension of paid business features while the issue is reviewed.
